Are there any restrictions on what I can use my gift card for?

Gift cards can only be redeemed for new bookings on WestJet, WestJet Encore, and WestJet Link operated flights and advance seat selection fees (at the time of booking), including applicable taxes, fees and surcharges.

Gift cards cannot be used as payment for:

• Baggage fees, change and cancellation fees, same-day airport changes, seat upgrade fees, kennel fees, and unaccompanied minor fees
• WestJet Rewards redemption bookings
• Purchase of WestJet dollars
• Group bookings (vacations and air only)
• Pre-purchase menu items and Buy on Board menu items
• WestJet Connect
• Cargo services
• Travel insurance
• Car bookings and hotel reservations booked on westjet.com
• Partner airline operated flights

I have multiple gift cards. Can I redeem all of them for a single booking?

Can I redeem a gift card as payment in combination with my Travel Bank credits or WestJet dollars?

No, gift cards can only be combined with payment cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club, Discover).

Can I redeem my gift card for a booking in US dollars or any currency other than Canadian dollars?

Gift cards can be redeemed on westjet.com in any available currency. If redeemed in a currency other than Canadian dollars, foreign exchange rates will apply.

Can I give my gift card to someone else?

Yes. WestJet gift cards are fully transferable.

Can my gift card be refunded if I cancel my booking?

Applicable fare rules apply for bookings paid for with a gift card.

Can I receive a refund for the balance of my gift card?

WestJet gift cards are not refundable or redeemable for cash except where required by law. The remaining value of a gift card does not expire and can be used for future travel on WestJet.
