Things to know about the gift of flight:

  • Fees, taxes, and surcharges are the responsibility of guests traveling and must be paid for at the time of booking with a valid credit card. Does not include optional fees such as checked baggage or cabin upgrades.
     
  • Valid on any regularly scheduled WestJet marketed and operated flight. Voucher is not valid for redemption on WestJet Vacations' or Sunwing Vacations' packages, flights operated by Sunwing Airlines, charters, codeshare, or interline flights.
     
  • All bookings and travel must be completed within one year from the date of the event.
     
  • Voucher is limited and subject to promotional space availability of eligible fare options and flight schedule. Not all flights have promotional space.
     
  • Flights must be roundtrip to and from the same locations. All guests must travel together on the same itinerary, dates and flights.
     
  • Voucher cannot be used on some dates, including statutory holidays and peak travel dates.

 

The fine print:

  1. This voucher is valid for one (1) roundtrip flight for two (2) guests to any regularly scheduled and marketed WestJet destination. Gift of flight vouchers are not valid for redemption on WestJet Vacations’ packages or Sunwing Vacations' packages, flights operated by Sunwing Airlines, charter, codeshare, or interline flights.
     
  2. This voucher is limited and subject to promotional space availability of eligible fare options and flight schedule. Not all flights have promotional space.

  5. Flights must be roundtrip to and from the same locations. Flights must depart from city A to city B and return from city B to city A. All guests must travel together on the same itinerary, dates, and flights.
     
  6. All bookings and travel must be completed by Tuesday, September 21, 2027.
     
  7. Gift of flight vouchers cannot be extended. Additionally, changes to travel dates or guest names are not permitted once a booking has been confirmed.
     
  8. Bookings made with a gift of flight voucher are not eligible for paid cabin upgrades except where the option to pay for an upgrade is available when checking in for the flight 24 hours prior to departure.
     
  9. This voucher will become null and void if travel is cancelled once a booking is confirmed.
     
  10. The individual booking the flights must be over the age of majority in their province.
     
  11. This voucher must be taken as offered and is not redeemable for cash.
     
  12. Gift of flight vouchers cannot be sold. In the event that it has been sold, the voucher will become void, and any flight bookings made with it will be cancelled immediately without notice or reimbursement. WestJet does not handle the payment, guarantee transactions, or buyer protection or seller certification, nor will WestJet be liable for the loss of funds resulting from a fraudulent transaction.
     
  13. Guests travelling on a WestJet gift of flight voucher are not entitled to compensation amounts provided under passenger rights regimes. By redeeming the gift of flight voucher, all guests travelling agree to release, and waive all claims against, WestJet relating to any and all liability, damage, or compensation entitlement arising under Canada's Air Passenger Protection Regulations.
     
  14. WestJet is not responsible for lost or mishandled vouchers. Once a voucher has been delivered to you, you are directly responsible for it.

Q. Where can I use my Marriott GiftCard / eGiftCard?
A. Marriott GiftCards / eGiftCards can be used at any participating Marriott hotel at these brands, including AC Hotels by Marriott®, Aloft®, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy™, Autograph Collection® Hotels, Courtyard®, Delta Hotels and Resorts®, EDITION®, Element®, Fairfield Inn & Suites®, Four Points® by Sheraton, Gaylord Hotels®, JW Marriott®, Le Méridien®,  Marriott Executive Apartments®, Marriott Hotels®, Marriott Vacation Club®, Moxy Hotels , Protea Hotels by Marriott®, City Express by Marriott, Renaissance® Hotels,  Residence Inn®,  Sheraton®, SpringHill Suites®, St. Regis®, The Luxury Collection®, The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve®, TownePlace Suites®, Tribute Portfolio™, W®, Westin®

Q. What can a Marriott GiftCard be used for?
A. At participating locations, GiftCards can be used for stays, dining, spa, golf and more. Please contact hotel directly about acceptance guidelines prior to your visit or stay.

Q. Do I have to be staying at the hotel to use my GiftCard?
A. No, GiftCards can be used at participating properties to pay for dining, spa, golf and more even if you are not currently a guest at the property.

Q. Does the entire value of the GiftCard have to be redeemed at once?
A. No, the GiftCard may be used multiple times until the entire value has been redeemed.

Q. Can I purchase a Marriott GiftCard with an active Marriott GiftCard?
A. No, customers may not purchase a Marriott GiftCard with an active Marriott GiftCard as payment. Hotels may not accept a MI Gift Card as tender/payment for a gift card purchase/activation.

Q. Will I receive cash back if I do not spend the entire value of the GiftCard?
A. Marriott GiftCards are not redeemable for cash except when otherwise required by law.

Q. What if the total bill exceeds the value of my GiftCard?
A. If your bill exceeds the amount of your GiftCard, you are responsible for the remaining amount with another form of payment.

Q. Can I redeem more than one GiftCard in a single transaction?
A. Yes, you may use multiple GiftCards to pay for stays, services and purchases.

Q. How do I present a Marriott eGiftCard to be used at a Marriott hotel?
A. The email or purchase receipt containing the eGiftCard number will need to be presented at the time of transaction. This may be a physical printout or an image on an electronic device.

Q. Can I use a GiftCard to guarantee room reservations?
A. No

Q. Can I use a GiftCard to pre-pay for a room reservation (e.g. Advance Purchase Rates)?
A. No

Q. Do Marriott GiftCards expire?
A. No, Marriott GiftCards never expire.

Q. Can I check the balance on my GiftCard?
A. Yes, you can check the balance online at gifts.marriott.com or by calling 1-800-442-6132.

Q. Can I replace my GiftCard if lost or stolen?
A. The Company will not restore any value on Cards that was lost in any of the foregoing circumstances except as follows:
Cards must be registered on gifts.marriott.com/login upon receipt.
If a Card is lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed or used without your permission, you must immediately notify the Company by contacting Marriott GiftCards Customer Service or by reporting such activity on the Marriott GiftCards website. Any value remaining on the registered Card, at time reported, will be returned to the registered owner on a new Card. NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR AMOUNTS DEBITED FROM YOUR CARD BEFORE YOU NOTIFY THE COMPANY. You agree to give MIFS all reasonable information to help make a complete investigation of the loss, theft or unauthorized use of the Card.

Q. What if I locate the GiftCard that I have reported as lost or stolen?
A. Once the card has been reported as lost or stolen, the card is deactivated and the balance is transferred to a new, registered Marriott GiftCard. The old card has no value and can no longer be used.

Q. Is there a way for the visually impaired to obtain help with gift card terms and conditions?
